We made this group in order to improve our skills and hopefully the cosplay community!
"Why a Daikon? Isn't that a radish?"
Yes it is- gold star for you, educated reader! The 'Dai' part of our name comes from 'Daisho Con' where the group of us originally met and bonded. And, daikon radishes look awfully silly, like us!
We love costuming, competing, meeting new people, running panels, and helping out the community with events as much as we can. You can see more of us on our facebook page ( www.facebook.com/DaikonCosplay ), or send us an email about booking us ([email protected]) !

RIOSO
Rioso here, friends! I'm one of the original Daikon Members, and I've been making my own cosplays for about six years! It's definitely one of my passions- especially making kids smile and allowing them to meet a 'Disney Princess' without having to go all the way to Florida! I love to help the costuming community however I can. Whether it's tutorials or helping build self confidence, I want everyone to be happy and do what they love!
I recently graduated with a Bachelors degree in English, and I'm currently working at a financial. I also take quite a few photos of the group and our friends, though I'm far more new to the camera than a sewing machine! Aside from work and costuming, I also love dancing (ballroom and swing), and of course, library storytimes are some of my favorite events to help out with! I volunteer with a local non-profit as well.

SNOWY
Hiya! My name is Snowy, and besides being one of the newer members of Daikon Cosplay, I am also a recent college graduate, who hopes to use her talents in the arts outside of cosplay to work as a Character Designer and Storyboard Artist.
I started cosplaying when I was around fourteen years old, but really got into it my senior year of High School, and I'm so glad that I did!
Outside of cosplay my hobbies are art, physical training, swordplay, writing, volunteering, and playing with my sweet pet bunny, Roo. I hope to use my skills to create good role models for children, and inspire people of all ages with the characters I create- After all, my favorite part of all this is making kids smile! I also love learning languages, and work at Concordia Language Villages, teaching children Danish as a core counselor.

BRYAR
The newest nerd to the bunch. I managed to miss the middle school anime phase and instead settled comfortably into other areas of nerd-dom such as Harry Potter and Doctor Who. I am now making up for that, due to the insurmountable amount of anime being assigned to me by various members of Daikon, helped through them all by my roommate Rioso.
Aside from being a cosplayer I am also a special education teacher. I hope to teach my future students, above all, that no matter what they like or how they look, that they are still important and will go far. As well as working with kids; I also enjoy hunting, fishing, camping, and shooting sports. As well as dancing, performing, and listening to music. Overall, my goal for cosplay is to encourage ALL people, regardless of gender, race, or size, etc, to cosplay what they want and have fun. This encouragement extends to many other activities that I am a part of but cosplay has given me a real platform to begin working towards my goal. |
TYTO
Hey this is Tyto. I'm one of the original members of Daikon Cosplay and got into cosplaying not too long before the group was formed five years ago- and I love finding ways to solve problems and make things.
Besides cosplay I'm currently working with Rioso at a financial, and hope to become an author one day. As well as writing, I enjoy reading, playing video games, playing with my furbabies Tama and Vin, and spending time with the rest of the nerds on this page!

EUPHEY
Hi there! This is Euphey of Daikon Cosplay! I am one of the original four members.
I have been cosplaying for 10 years and started competing about 6 years ago. I mostly cosplay from anime and manga. I specialize in sewing and wigs and am starting to learn armor building. Outside of cosplay, I am a graduate student working to specialize in teaching English as a Second Language (ESL). Balancing cosplay and teaching can be tough sometimes, but I love both too much to quit! |
